In addition to the events listed below, I perform with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall, Boston, from October - April; with the Boston Pops Orchestra from May - June, and with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony in July and August.

Tempe, Arizona. Trombone auditions at Arizona State University. I will be hearing trombone auditions at Arizona State University where I will be taking up the position of Professor of Trombone in Fall, 2012. For further information, click HERE.

Boston, Massachusetts. Musical Instrument demonstration. I will be giving a talk and demonstration about the ophicleide - the French bass brass instrument invented in France in the early 19th century that was a successor to the serpent - at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, from 11:00 am - 12 noon. The demonstration will take place in the Museum's Musical Instrument Gallery and is free with Museum Admission (seating is limited so arrive early to ensure a seat). I will play my nine-key ophicleide by Roehn, and will discuss the Museum's own collection of ophicleides by Guichard, Halary and others. Somerville and Boston, Massachusetts. Trombone Trio Recital. As part of the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Community Chamber Music Concert Series, the Trombones of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (Toby Oft, Stephen Lange and myself) will be giving two concerts of music for trombone trio. The concerts will be held at Somerville High School (March 16) and the Fenway Center at Northeastern University (March 18). The concerts are free and open to the public but tickets are required. Boston and Worcester, Massachusetts. Brass Quintet Recital. As part of the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Community Chamber Music Concert Series, I will join my BSO colleagues Benjamin Wright and Michael Martin (trumpet), Jason Sinder (horn) and Stephen Lange (trombone) in two brass quintet concerts. The concerts will be held at the Fenway Center at Northeastern University (April 13) and Tuckerman Hall in Worcester (April 15). The concerts are free and open to the public but tickets are required. Fort Worth, Texas. Fort Worth Trombone Summit. I will be a featured guest artist at the Fourth Annual Fort Worth Trombone Summit, organized and hosted by the TCU (Texas Christian University) School of Music (David Begnoche, Assistant Professor of Trombone). The Summit includes competitions for trombone quartet and solo trombone, clinics, and concerts. Note that I will be appearing in 2013 (this qualifies as planning ahead).
